John Gilders is a career development practitioner with over 20 years’ experience working in settings as diverse as schools, TAFE’s, community organisations and private practice. He is widely recognised as an advocate for the youth of the Gold Coast, delivering career services, workshops and presentations to thousands of school students over almost two decades.
John is the Director of Orange Flag Career Services, providing career education and consultancy to schools, training providers and businesses, as well as supporting individuals with their career decision making. John was the Local Community Partnership Manager for the Gold Coast region in the late 2000’s and has also delivered the Australian Governments School Business Community Partnership Broker program from 2010 to 2014 and is currently delivering career development services for Gen-Z Employment.
John is a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) and he is also the founder of the Gold Coast Careers Network. John was a foundation board member of Ohana Education in 2013 and was the inaugural Treasurer and Board Member of the arts not-for-profit, Creative Industries Gold Coast.
